IFATCC is as a non-commercial and non-profit entity. IFATCC was formed during the Colourists Congress in Milan (Italy) on 14th May 1930. The headquarters was located in 1953 in Basel (Switzerland). The Federation carries forward activities for the promotion of cooperation on a worldwide basis between the affiliated Textile Chemists and Colourists associations existing in different nations. Since 2016 IFATCC is based in Milan, Italy.
